Hi Patrick,

Your updates are like watching a box set of videos, you can't wait to see the next one, you just have to find the bloody time.

Anyway I'm now 'up to date' and they did not dissapoint; a great read!

Your drive and honesty are amazing, no wonder so many people warm to you.

You are right; goals and objectives are vital, the strategy to achieve them will come in time as your thoughts and product knowledge develop and of course that strategy will continue to evolve over time due to your experiences and changes to the market place.

Having now caught up with your blogs, I've got two episods of Homeland to catch up on.

Onwards and upwards!

Hi Patrick, you’re a star man and I bet a lot of people are right behind you in your journey. Ever thought of writing your experiences down so you will have something to do by writing a book in your spare time when your retired. But there again what spare time ? Your always on the go always positive and always a nice guy to do business with, thanks again for the nomination.

Kind regards

Hi Amisha

As a friend and colleague of Patrick’s I felt I had to respond to your comment.

Patrick is a guy who I know, from personal experience, has resolutely refused to allow his Cerebral Palsy to get in the way of what he wants from life. He is a remarkable individual who over the last couple of years has inspired many, many people with his drive, determination and stubbornness to overcome what life has thrown his way. He has become extremely well known within the property investment community and has been inundated with offers from highly successful investors and business people who are very keen to help, support and mentor him towards achieving his goals.

Now I understand you are probably very busy and may not wish to receive regular in depth updates on his achievements, but for somebody working for Scope to send such an impersonal and blunt response is incredible. Patrick is the kind of person who could be (and is) hugely inspirational to the very people you work hard to represent. At the very least it may have been courteous to have offered a message of support, or to congratulate him on what he has achieved to date, before then asking not to received direct updates on his progress to your email account.

Patrick doesn’t know I am sending this email, but I’ll be brutally honest - I found your one line ‘Please remove my details from your mailing list response’ to be pretty insulting and I would imagine Patrick would have done too – even if he may not make his feelings felt.

I hope you may take the time at some point soon to send him, on behalf of Scope, something more supportive.

Regards

Patrick,

I know that you will achieve your £1 million target once you have set your course. But please remember to celebrate each milestone or goal achieved - big time.

Don't be hard on yourself you have already achieved way more than a lot of people. The time taken so far may seem dead time and un-productive but for you it is vital and I know it has allowed you time to work out your own plan.

Enjoy the planning, the journey and the success.

Best wishes,

Having been there the day you made a bet that you would be a millionaire I have complete belief in you Patrick, you are much more driven than I and that is saying something!

I made a plan a few years ago to give my business a boost ready for when my son starts school this September. I’ve raised my profile and I have also gone back to my roots in offering full property management (love, love, love it!) and delighted at the response I’ve received. It’s not easy juggling it all with my children but I know it will be easier in September especially with the ground work in place. To get to where I am now it took 20 minutes of quiet thought 3 years ago about forward planning and deciding where I wanted to be and whether I wanted to run a full time business. I’m very proud of what I have achieved and I think it’s important to be able to stand up and say that as every challenge has been conquered along the way and the journey to where I am has shaped me accordingly.

One main thing is I can show our children anything is possible with a bit of grit and determination.

Enjoy your journey Patrick and celebrate the successes along the way x

Hi Patrick,

Did you watch Chelsea last night, I am not a great football fan and can take it or leave it but I could not turn over, I was glued it was like watching a dream unfold where you knew the outcome it was surreal to watch.

Now the morning after I am analysing the how and it seems to me the players on the field were in the NOW, not focusing on the outcome just defending every shot as they all came raining in. Then the icing on the cake Barcelona left the back door wide open and Torres kept his cool.

What I am saying here really is focus on the how not the million and it may come your way sooner than you think.

Best wishes

HI Patrick, we met a while back, I like your blog, DO YOU REALLY WANT TO MAKE A MILLION ? do you really think you can?

Look at http://www.rajshastri.com/ I made from Zero a Million, how did I do it? DESIRE & Belief & hanging out with millionaires.

So many people & so called property Guru`s are still working, & going to property networking meetings, why I ask. I made a million + & retired , why would I still go to those do`s.

The last property guy I spoke to sold £750,000,000 0f property at the height of the market, the other one has 5 buy to lets, yes only 5, however the cheapest one is £2,500,000 in St Johns Wood London, that`s the people you need to speak to.

Give me a call & let me know when your at the Berks property meet, I live on the river near there & we`ll have a chat.

You can become a millionaire, you just need to think big, so many people`s ceiling is £500 or £750 a week, THINK BIG £500 that`s my petrol & lunch bill .

Ryan Luskin Did we go sky diving?
Patrick Souiljaert If we had gone sky diving i might not be where i am today! Great to hear from you Ryan, white-water rafting is one of the most exhilarating things I've done. We should do it again. I'm glad to see you are happy.
Ryan Luskin Love you bro. Always admired you. Come sailing with me and my family in Panama any time. I would love to introduce you to them! In the meanwhile...keep moving towards your dreams! You are the man! Maybe we should go sky diving?

Hello my lovely!

Its been absolutely ages. What a great blog post - and cliff hanger! I can't wait to read the next one! :-)

Your honesty is refreshing - like you Im on the journey and in 18 months have 2 properties. Unlike you though, I have lost all motivation and had almost forgotten why I got started on the property journey in the first place! I have to confess that I was settling back in to the "hum drum" of every day life with a full time job and very little time for friends or family. OK so I earn good money and life is "comfortable and predictable" and work is dull, frustrating and monotonous! But at least its "Safe"?

You've just reminded me with this blog post - how important motivation is. I cant say "Im motivated" to get started again, but I will be thinking of ways to motivate myself again though!

Thank you!!

We appear to share the same problem with insomnia - you must be going to sleep just as I get up. For some reason I can't stay in bed past 5am! :-)
What a pair we are! :-)

Wishing you much success, love and happiness. Patrick - if anyone can do what they've set their mind to - you can!

Really look forward to catching up with you again soon.

Love Tan.xx
----
Hi Patrick
I'm really glad to hear your making progress on your journey.
With a clear goal and your fantastic mindset we both know you'll achieve what you set out to.
I wish you every happiness your heart desires.
See you soon
John
----
Great stuff Pat well done :-)

Remember the man who has many strategies often has none - I know you'll stay focused. Speak soon at the next Progressive VIP meeting :-)

Great post

Rob
----
Hi Patrick

Thanks for the update.

Have you considered the Mike Frisby LHA strategy?, looks like it would be great for somewhere like Bognor

Please send out the next part asap!!

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the blog, you inspire many more people than would ever let you know, you always appear positive no matter how you may be feeling.

I know your getting somewhere when you go quiet and it will be a precursor to seeing some action, your writing is effective and I also get a lot of people writing to me saying / promising a lot of things which seldom come true, therefore I can usually skip to the end and guess the outcome, you however keep me interested to read the lines to the end.

Keep believing is the best advice I can give which I know you don’t need, for instance I always say to people who want to stop smoking, turn a negative into a positive and focus, and never, never, never, give up giving up. Each time you feel like you have failed because you cant resist the offer of another smoke think of the very thing that got you to that point of enough is enough I only have one life and I will achieve my goal. I can visualise very easily and I gave up smoking by thinking of the very person who I despised, he cost me 33k in 1998 due to my then business naivety and trust. So I turned him into my focus when ever I want something enough I see him in my mind saying you’ll never do it, which is precisely why I will each and every time.

Keep right on the best is yet to come.

Patrick,

My dear Bud, you are truely a star, & i am humbled to be in the presence of greatness, i however, wish to be totally honest with you if i may .....

Having known you for many years now, i feel i can talk to you openly & totally honestly, i personally do not think you will maje a million, i'm sorry, but i did say i will be honest.

Your guts'y approach to not only this venture, but everything that i have known you to do or bo involved in, states for it's self, the million is only you fist of many i'm sure you will make.

A TRUE INSPIRATION TO US ALL, go for it my dear friend.

ps, when you open your bank in a few years ..... can i have a zero % loan, haha

Go Patrick, Go.

regards & best wishes always,

OK so I earn good money and life is “comfortable and predictable” and work is dull, frustrating and monotonous! But at least its “Safe”?

You’ve just reminded me with this blog post – how important motivation is. I cant say “Im motivated” to get started again, but I will be thinking of ways to motivate myself again though!

Thank you!!

We appear to share the same problem with insomnia – you must be going to sleep just as I get up. For some reason I can’t stay in bed past 5am!
What a pair we are!

Wishing you much success, love and happiness. Patrick – if anyone can do what they’ve set their mind to – you can!

Really look forward to catching up with you again soon.

Love Tan.xx
Hi Patrick
I’m really glad to hear your making progress on your journey.
With a clear goal and your fantastic mindset we both know you’ll achieve what you set out to.
I wish you every happiness your heart desires.
See you soon
Great stuff Pat well done

Remember the man who has many strategies often has none – I know you’ll stay focused. Speak soon at the next Progressive VIP meeting

Great post

Patrick,

My dear Bud, you are truely a star, & i am humbled to be in the presence of greatness, i however, wish to be totally honest with you if i may …..

Having known you for many years now, i feel i can talk to you openly & totally honestly, i personally do not think you will maje a million, i’m sorry, but i did say i will be honest.

Your guts’y approach to not only this venture, but everything that i have known you to do or bo involved in, states for it’s self, the million is only you fist of many i’m sure you will make.

A TRUE INSPIRATION TO US ALL, go for it my dear friend.

ps, when you open your bank in a few years ….. can i have a zero % loan, haha

Go Patrick, Go.

regards & best wishes always,

Hi Patrick,

"Keep on keeping on" as Rob would say - and i'll never forget him saying it.

You are an inspiration and always will be. I am not with Progressive any more as I want to concentrate on my mindset this year but we will catch up somewhere i'm sure.
I will get down your way at some point but in the meantime I wish you all the best and...............................just look at all those stairs you never thought you would climb..........................they're kind of your stairs to financial freedom!

Take care, Bella x

Great email Patrick,

I'm sure you will achieve your goals - just as you say you will. Good luck with conceiving your plan and with your one to one with Rob Moore.

If it helps, I don't have a very clear plan either! I've decided just to have a short term plan for now so that I start doing something. Part of that plan is to learn as much as possible - just as you are doing. I think that will give us flexibility and options in a changing world.

I agree that we need to PREPARE a plan as it gives us a sense of direction and allows us to take action. On the other hand, the plan will never be what we actually DO. The plan will always change as we will meet circumstances we couldn't anticipate. I believe the plan should always change.

It sounds like you are well ahead of me on the learning curve - and many people are already helping you - so ... you're doing pretty good if you ask me!

Sending you very best wishes and hope to see you soon,

Humphrey Carter

Hi Patrick,

I met you at the Berkshire Property Meet last month. I had a look at your site its all great stuff! I am looking forward to following your progress.

I myself am going to be looking into investing in Brighton. My girlfriend is originally from Brighton and her father owns a building company so I am hoping to do a project with him or one of his friends. Her father works on projects that are a bit bigger than what I would be looking at but it gives me something to aim for.

I have read Think and Grow Rich and recently listened to the audio book. The cd's came with a pdf for filling out all the exercises. I often can't be bothered to stop and do exercises in personal development books and didn't bother with think and grow rich. However last week I printed this out and have been going for through the exercises and it has really helped me. If you haven't finished the book then at least start with the first questionairre. You answer the same questions at the end to see how you have developed.

Best of luck and let me know if you find any good refurbs in Brighton. Hope to see you soon!

Patrick,

Go get em, you continue to surprise and inspire both me and my family, this includes my sister in Chiswick who has not been having the best of times with her business, but she assures me that your blog and updates have been of great help and value to her, to the point whereby she has recently reviewed her own position regards advertising and profiling her business and using you and your desire and determination to be a success once again, and not give in to those that question her ability and the right she has earnt in her particular field. On behalf of her and the rest of my family, keep inspiring us, as I know you will.

Take Care.

Kind Regards and Best Wishes,
Steve Hope
