Property investing is all about people. It’s about helping people out of financial difficulties and always creating win/win situations.
I have good people skills and like helping everyone.
When I read Property Magic and understood how to buy property from motivated sellers, I realised that I would find it challenging.
I meet a lot of people and in my experience, 90% people have not come across someone with Cerebral Palsy before – and they don’t know how to talk to me. It’s not the fact that I walk with crutches, it’s because my voice has been affected. If I could talk normally, people would think to themselves ‘He just can’t walk properly’. However people tend to think ‘Oh, he can’t walk properly and he can’t talk properly – I don’t know what’s wrong with him’.
Whilst I have the confidence of knocking on a motivated seller’s front door and saying “Hello, I’m here to help you…”, I don’t think I would be taken seriously
All I can say (and remember, I can’t talk properly!) is, I am not going to let this stop me from making £1 million. I have accomplished all of the goals I’ve set myself in life – and making £1 million is just another goal.
In attending the two property events last week, I asked a number of property investors how I could overcome the challenge of selling myself to motivated sellers. Everyone advised me to work with a joint venture partner (JVP) who can liaise with the motivated sellers, whilst I manage the financial side.
I have found a JVP with excellent people skills and I look forward to working with them.
I now need to make £2 million!

I am currently on a year long Simon Zutshi mastermind course having first been introduced to property by Rob and Mark. They are inspirational guys and well done for attending their course.
My property partner is further down the property journey having been educated originally by Simon Zutshi 2/3 years ago. So she comes with more experience and has a number of properties already in her portfolio.
